Brought to you by the CEO and Outside Catering Head Chef of Chefs Catering Northwest, Heysham Golf Club are proud to host this exclusive evening of fine dining – ‘The Chef’s Table’.
Comprised of five courses, The Chef’s Table brings together the highest standard of food, locally sourced, with your perfect choice of drink set to compliment each dish and the complete atmosphere of a Black Tie event that exuberates elegance.
On the 24th September 2020, we launched our very first Chef’s Table amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Our absolute priority is to maintain the safety of everybody that comes through our doors and we are so happy to announce that we can hold an event like this, whilst keeping within all of the government’s current guidelines and still make it an evening to remember.
Each menu is specifically designed by our Head Chef of Outside Catering, Robert Muncaster. His 25 years experience in the industry has led to him holding the titles of Head Chef in a number of different venues including the Kings Arms Hotel in Lancaster and Award Winning Head Chef at The Castle in Hornby, making him the perfect candidate to run this evening and give us all a little taste into the quality of food he produces.
Here at Heysham Golf Club, we work very closely with our caterers ‘Chefs Catering Northwest’ and Head Chef of Outside Catering Robert Muncaster wanted to showcase just what Chefs Catering Northwest can really do! Speaking with CEO Gareth Gardner, who backed Rob’s idea all the way, they decided to create the illustrious evening as a night to remember for the 16 attendees.

The evening began with a glass of champagne on arrival for each and every guest who was led to their table by our very best Front of House team members. Due to COVID regulations, each member of our team wore their face coverings and the Champagne had already been placed at the table. Each visitor also had to don their face coverings alongside their Black Tie attire until they had been seated, after which they could be removed.
The evening was to be so exclusive that Rob and Gareth decided that our guests of honour would only find out what the menu was after arriving and receiving their individual, wax sealed copy. Alongside this, they both then introduced themselves and presented their evening to our guests.
Complete with full venue dressing from Ribbons and Roses, photographer, the perfect team both in the kitchen and front of house and military precision throughout, our Chef’s Table left everyone present completely blown away!
Men’s Captain Howard ‘Housie’ Weale concurred the same thoughts as the President, Jan Savage adding that we at Chefs Catering Northwest “should be very proud of [our] accomplishments and the success of the evening.”
We absolutely loved hosting this very special event and we are very much looking forward to bringing you the next Chef’s Table on 29th October with a brand new menu and maybe a few little tricks up our sleeves – find out what is in store on the night itself!
